Teachers in grades 4-12 have access to administer the Star Reading assessment during three windows throughout the school year.
The Star Reading assessment is only REQUIRED FOR 6TH GRADE students at the MIDDLE OF YEAR. Testing for 6th grade will need to be completed before the winter break. The scores will be used, along with Acadience and RISE data, to determine tier 2 reading placement in 7th grade.
This assessment is optional for teachers in grades 4, 5 and 7-12 to administer, and optional at the beginning of year and end of year for 6th grade.
Testing windows:
- Beginning of year: August 25 - October 3, 2025
- Middle of year: December 1, 2025 - January 16, 2026
- 6th grade window: December 1, 2025 - January 9, 2026
- End of year: April 6 - May 29, 2026
Teachers and students can login to the test using the Google waffle SSO option. Individuals with School Administrator access will need to login using a username and password on the Renaissance site:
Renaissance ID: 252187-11TN
Username: firstname.lastname (first part of your Jordan District email address)
