School Accountability Report Cards
Utah makes annual accountability determinations for schools and Local Education Agencies (LEAs) based on student academic outcomes and growth. The most current school accountability report cards may be found here: https://utahschoolgrades.schools.utah.gov/.
This technical manual details Utah’s accountability systems for educators, parents, and other stakeholders.
As part of the school report cards, individual schools can add up to two indicators that they wish to highlight and that are not part of the data presented in the school report cards. Information on how to submit those two indicators so that they appear on the school report card may be found below.
Targeted School Improvement (TSI), and Comprehensive School Improvement (CSI)
Under Utah's Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), the Utah State Board of Education is required to identify two categories of schools:
- Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) schools are the lowest-performing 5% of Title I schools and high schools with a graduation rate of 67%, or lower.
- Targeted Support and Improvement (TSI) schools are schools with consistently under-performing student groups.
